christmas and thanksgiving and a precious bundle of joy

This past weekend was wonderful and went by far to fast.  I was lucky enough to be able to head down to Utah and spend Friday with my best friend, Brooke.  This is something we always strive to do and usually something gets in the way however this time nothing got in the way of some quality best friend time.  It was super important for me to see her as well because she is having a precious lil' guy in about 4 weeks and I wish I could be there more for her and spend more time with her especially during this super important and exciting time in her life, but I was so happy that I got to spend a few hours with her and see how truely happy she is =). I am so grateful for the small visits we get and cherish them always.

We spent the day talking, went to lunch, and then played with their Kinect and her husband Scott even joined in for the fun.  I am so happy those two found each other!  They are the cutest married couple and love each other so very much.  I always makes me happy to see how happy Brooke is =). 

Then on Saturday I was able to go down and see Brooke again because she was having her baby shower.  It was such a fun shower and it was nice catching up with old friends that came and just great getting to see Brooke again.  I was so happy that she liked the blanket that I made for her and that it matched her nursery.  She is going to be an amazing mom and give this little boy so much love!  I CAN NOT wait to go down and meet him after he is born. 

It's still weird to me how much we are all growing up and how fast time seems to go.  It seem like only yesterday I was hanging out with friends from high school on a Saturday night, and now some of us are married, having babies, graduating college, going to graduate school, and so many other things.  Life comes at you fast and you have to cherish every memory and moment that you are given.  That's exactly what I plan on doing. =).
